Here's the old illustration, for the record:

Drau and adhene didn't change much from their original designs, but yeah, pixies and kobolds got some dramatic updates. I realized pixies looked way too much like sprights, and their cutesy appearance didn't reflect what heinous little bastards they really are. So I made them look more sinister and insect-like to give them more of a "pest" vibe.

Kobolds just became more misshapen and asymmetrical. I wanted to show that they were the result of an inexperienced monster forger, and thought their appearance should reflect a more pitiful existence. The original design looked too similar to trolls and they also had a "strong" look about them, which doesn't work imo because they're not strong creatures at all.

Average adult human is about 5'5".

Average adhene: 3'5".

Average pixie: 6".

Pixies are like dolls compared to humans! About half the size of a Barbie doll!

There is still a faery hierarchy in Unseelie Court, but the order is sort of switched around. Instead of adhene, drau sit at the top and adhene are below them. Pixies are under adhene and kobolds are once again at the bottom.

That's a fantastic idea for pixies, thank you! I will consider this when I redo the new pixie article! I do want to take them in a more insect-like direction similar to the drau and adhene.
