At first I thought you were agreeing to Theory #2: you can't perfect perfection lol
But rereading it, feels like you're saying PiT is an inferior game with flaws that can't be fixed in a remake.
Forgive me if that wasn't what you meant but I disagree regardless
I don't want them to do anything more with the concept, i want them to give the same respect they gave to to SSHD n BiSHD to PiT. It's not like they did more with the concept that SS and BiS had in the remakes, so why expect that for PiT. It's great as it is.
It just needs to be remade with some improvements. Everything in PiT can work much better:
> Items that went indefinitely can now have a stopping point and adjust the prices so that players can't stock a ton of battle items or put a limit to how many one can buy
> Soundtrack can be remixed to be more bumpin'
> Environments can be remade more beautifully and given some extra context with some choice details added
> Enemies can be adjusted to be more enjoyable
> Bosses can have extra animations that gives context to some of their attacks
They don't have to do anything extra, just improve what's already there. In fact, all these changes I suggested (except the first one) has already been done in the other remakes and fans loved it.
As for who will buy it? The only people this will turn off will be people who already played and don't like PiT, theres still a ton of new fans who haven't played PiT who would be intrigued with the concept of a M&L game about aliens and time traveling. It won't hurt to try again now with new tech and better handle of the series.
As for Minion Mode? Idk, have Captain Goomba embark on another adventure, this time with time traveling shenanigans and can even play around with what young goombas look like! (Smol goombas)
But none of this matter, this whole argument is invalid, cause at the end of the day, the only reason Alpha Dreams decided to do a BiS remake is cause it's a fan favorite among the M&L fanbase. It had nothing to do with gameplay or what they can bring to the table or what could be lost in a remake. They didn't consider any of that.
It's more popular, so it's getting remade
