after having studied it intensively in college for two years and still not internalizing it at all, it would be nice to actually know Spanish.

I feel like knowing Sign Language would not come up very much, but it would be cool to have that in one's back pocket just in case.

at the moment, i am too tired to remember the feeling of being passionate, but i think generally:

the importance of proper, comprehensive sex ed for teenagers (including teaching them about asexuality and gray asexuality)

the importance of white people interrogating their own attitudes and assumptions re: race and acknowledging the ways in which we can unconsciously have racial bias

2. my paternal grandma's living room, circa 2003. i'm cheating because that's a time and a place, but when she was alive and at her best, any space she was in was a calming one.

i don't know if there's anything that i'd recommend to absolutely everyone. the stuff that tends to stick with me can be pretty niche.

i guess Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen? It was very radicalizing when I read it in like ninth grade. that's very america-centric, though.

probably something like the most current edition of Our Bodies, Ourselves if only because i think a lot of people could stand to get some basic, body-positive, sex-positive sex ed.
