Amanda was exhausted. She held a manila folder, a report, in her hands. It was thicker than any other report she’d ever written. Since she’d talked to Bruce about being a part of the TND and her feelings about the Next Door organization her reports had been getting more and more detailed, getting Father to send her on more and more missions.
This last one was long and fully stealth and info gathering. Info being held by Numbuh Infinity and a few other high ranking KND members.
She saw Lenny sitting in the living room as she passed it. She looked at her phone. She didn’t meet with Father for another hour. As always, she was early. Normally Father allowed her to turn in her reports when she arrived, early or not, but today... She’d missed her friend.
She walked over with a very tired smile. “Hey there. What have you been up to?”
