To say that Paige was shaken was one hell of an understatement, walking forward in a manner that was purely driven by a need to get the fuck out of that area. Though it wasnโt surprising that she was getting odd looks, considering the state that she was in... with a busted lip that was only now beginning to heal over and stop bleeding, and a bruise that would be so bad that her cheek was already beginning to swell and grow discolored. Hugging herself tightly as she limped as quickly as she was able to go along the sidewalk, just barely able to hold herself together as she felt the panic coursed through her, almost as if it were a physical thing just beneath her skin.ย
So when another man spoke as he did to her, Paige couldnโt help but flinch back and try to take a step away. Though the instant she placed weight on her back ankle, it gave out, sending her falling right back to the ground. Feeling the pain shoot up her arm from how she landed and attempted to catch herself, she cried out a rather clear sound of pain... though she didnโt answer. Instead, she concentrated fiercely on keeping herself steady even still, desperately keeping the fact that she was almost home firmly in her mind.
