The first one to suspect anything was Zeph - it was nothing special but after all that bickering and teasing between Lena and Beckett their recent behaviour seemed… different. And Zeph just couldn’t stop thinking that they’re secretly dating but of course, he didn’t say anything. He knew too little to be sure. But then he walked at the two of them and it only made his little theory stronger.

It was Thursday after practice and Zeph was supposed to hang out with Lena. He came a little sooner than he was supposed to only because he was bored and decided to wait for his friend outside.

He would never have guessed what he was about to see there. Of course, that could be nothing but considering the fact that he was already convinced they were dating seeing them talking with a smile on both of their faces - it was huge! 

Unfortunately, he was too far to hear anything so Zeph decided to do what any true best friend would do in that situation and sneaked closer hiding behind the corner. He has to know if his theory was right.

“Aw someone’s sleepy?” Lena teased Beckett when he yawned.

“Well excuse me but how am I supposed to not be sleepy when you came to my room at 4am, to cuddle?” Beckett asked in return and Zeph couldn’t believe when he saw a fond, soft smile on his face.

Yeah, if he wasn’t sure after this no one could tell him these two idiots weren’t dating or at least weren’t in love with each other.

The second person to get suspicious was Griffin. Lena and he were in the library. They were supposed to study but just like every other time - studying with Lena consisted mainly of jokes, teasing and harmless cute pranks rather than actual studying. And to be honest, Griffin didn’t mind it was almost refreshing to have someone as positive and happy as Lena around.

And yeah, Griffin might’ve had a little tiny crush on her but that’s a whole different story.

After one of her many many pranks that morning they finally decided to study at least a little but of course, something or rather someone interrupted them. Maybe not intentionally but he did. And as soon as Lena saw him - him being Beckett, her face immediately lit up. Not like it always did in that teasing way. It was more like she was genuiely happy to see him. 

“Beckett!” She yelled, completely ignoring other people that now were glaring at her.

When Beckett heard her voice he almost dropped all of the books he was holding. He looked around and when he saw Lena he smiled a little, and Griffin could swear he saw Beckett blushing. But then Beckett noticed him as well and his smile faltered a bit.

“Lena. Griffin. Hello.” Beckett greeted them politely. “What, um… what are you two doing here… together?” He asked almost whispering the last word, not breaking the eye contact with Lena. 

“Beckett, you know all I want is you,” Lena said and Griffin knew it was supposed to come out teasingly but Griffin just couldn’t ignore the reassuring tone or the soft smile on Lena’s face and he for sure couldn’t ignore the love in her eyes.

That was the first of many more times he thought that there might be more to Lena and Beckett’s relationship that they let people see.

Surprisingly, the third and last one to join the party was Shreya. It was weird since lately the two of them were inseparable. And it was only because she decided to visit Lena out of the blue. She was bored and she knew Lena wasn’t feeling well today since she missed some classes.

So at lunch, she figured it was a great idea to bring something for Lena and eat together. Maybe gossip a little but mainly just have some good girl time.

But just as Shreya wanted to knock on the door she heard laughter from inside. She furrowed her brows and placed her ear to the door to hear better what was going on inside. And when she identified that one of the people inside was Beckett Harrington she almost dropped the food she was holding.

Now she had to know what for the love of god was going on behind the closed doors. Holding her breath in she carefully opened the door just enough to see Beckett sitting on Lena’s bed. A few seconds later Lena emerged from the bathroom wearing, too big for her, sweater.

“You look really cute in that sweater.” Said Beckett pulling her on the bed.

“Why? Because it’s yours?” She teased, her voice a little hoarse.

“Probably, yeah,” Beckett admitted and from where she was standing, spying on them, Shreya could see the blush creeping on his face.

“I’ll let you know it smells amazing,” Lena said covering her hands with the sleeves and leaning into Beckett even more. “I’m cold. Come closer.” She mumbled in his chest almost too quietly for Shreya to hear.

Beckett smiled fondly at Lena and before wrapping his arms around her, he covered them both with the blanket. And Shreya almost couldn’t believe her own eyes.

The one time when all three of them decided to solve the mystery, they were sitting on a bench waiting for Lena. They were all supposed to shopping and hang out together.

“Okay, I’m just gonna say it since we all know we’re thinking about it. Lena and Beckett are dating!” He announced. “Can you believe it!?”

“Didn’t see that one coming.” Shreya laughed.

“You and me both.” Griffin agreed.

“So? What are we gonna do about it? Do we tell them we know? Do we stay quiet? Do we mess with them a little?” Zeph was shooting ideas.

“How about we just asked them?” Griffin proposed and mentioned his hand to Lena who was coming with Beckett right beside her. “Since it looks like they’re a package deal now?” He chuckled.

“Okay but I must admit they look cute trying not to look like they’re in love.” Shreya cooed.

None of the boys had a chance to say anything cause Beckett and Lena were now standing in front of them - much further apart than it was necessary. But it seemed like they were desperate to keep their relationship a secret a little longer.

“So are you guys dating or…?” Zeph asked suddenly and Lena almost choked on the gum she was chewing.

“What?” 

“Oh c’mon. You’re not as discreet as you’d like to.” Shreya looked at Lena, smirking. “So?” She raised her brow.
