Hii, I just have a question about the mob au and ashton in specific.
So, as well all know that Wally is the head of the family. But he can't be in charge forever. So once he "retires" would the family then go to Ashton? If so, how would they react and would they want to be in charge? Plus if wally retires, then would that mean many of the family members would also retire? So would ashton have to find new family members for like a new generation? Also if ashton was to hypothetically die before they can take over the family business, then who would it go to?
I think Ashton would be conflicted about becoming head of the family.
On one hand, the power they’d wield would be awfully tempting to take. It is a big responsibility to run a business like Wally’s, and I’m sure they’d do just fine with it. I could see them changing a few things. Becoming bolder with crimes and adding an artistic flare to everything they do.
On the other hand, by the time Ashton could take over the family they’d be a teenager or a young adult, and they’d want to explore the world for themself. They’d be fine if another more experienced family member took over so they could experience the world for themself for a change rather than being cooped up with the mob forever. I can see Ashton going off and becoming a successful musician and touring all over the place and having the time of their life!
I’m not really sure how mob seniority goes. Do they age out of their family? I dunno. I think if the other family members wanted to leave Ashton would have a hard time with that…they’d been there since Ashton was taken in, so why would they leave now? Ashton would reluctantly let them go—not without threats and a bit of begging—but keep a close eye on them. Though I do think that most family members would stay if they had the chance. :)
I really don’t know who’d get the chair if Ashton died early. It’d probably be between Paloma and @/frenchfry99’s Lilly since they’re both apart of the mob’s younger generation and are kids of high ranking members. Ultimately it’d be up to Home to decide who gets to run things.
