This one maintains the initial premise that Fëanáro insists upon a formal alliance between his firstborn and those of his half-siblings. In this timeline, Maitimo, Findekáno, and Ingoldo are all alphas. Instead of marrying (because that’s gay), they do more of sworn brothers thing.

And then everyone’s weird sexualities misalign. Maitimo is omegaverse straight. He likes omegas, thinks betas are ok, and has never thought about another alpha in his entire life. His guilty pleasure is schmoopy omega/omega porn, he thinks they’re SO cute playing around without an alpha to take care of them properly. He’s desperately submissive and has no idea. Findekáno is Valinor’s champion pansexual, he’s capable of noticing if anyone is hot and he’s paying attention. He likes putting Maitimo in gay situations, listen if they jerk off in the private baths it’s fine, oh here look at Finno’s newest sexy woodblock print, haha maybe he can touch Maitimo’s dick about it. Ingoldo was born knowing that he likes alphas and nothing else. He’s gay, mildly homophobic, and thinks omegas are dumb and gross. He has never bottomed or subbed in his life and he’s not going to. He is very aware of his desires and also exactly as aware of how politically and socially unacceptable they are. He’s the youngest and the last to enter the alliance and he takes one look at Maitimo and Findekáno, mentally cracks his knuckles, and decides he’s gonna fuck them both as a power move.

None of them are married, for various reasons: Maitimo hasn’t been presented with any politically suitable matches by his parents, Findekáno isn’t really looking, and Ingoldo doesn’t want to deal with the hassle of wife even in a lavender marriage. Findekáno has little flings and affairs but never anything especially serious, aside from his ongoing project of getting Maitimo to play gay chicken without noticing. Maitimo has a pretty, low-ranked omega concubine, because he’s a perfectly healthy and well behaved alpha prince and he can have a paid companion if he likes; sometimes he and Finno share. Ingoldo has resigned himself to occasionally fucking an anonymous soldier or guard and being quite clear that he’ll cut their dick off if they ever breathe a word about it. He’s done it before.

The three of them wind up being a highly effective political machine; Ingoldo especially is an infrastructure guy, he WILL maintain those bridges and roads and he DOES know how the taxes work, and he also knows exactly what he can do about theft (people are losing hands if they’re lucky). Findekáno is secretly really good at agriculture management. Yes the beans DO have to take turns, here’s the crop rotation schedule, call him if there’s a blight or floor or something. And Maitimo does a lot of the talking.

So where it gets weird is one day Maitimo goes to Ingoldo’s study to talk to him, and wears his shoes inside. And Ingoldo looks at him without getting up and says that he’s had it with shoes inside, he’s told Maitimo before no shoes in his study, if Maitimo does it again Ingoldo will make him clean the floor himself. And Maitimo says nothing but goes and takes his shoes off and takes his outer robe and starts scrubbing. And Ingoldo just watches him, and about a third of the way through, he realizes: Maitimo has an absolutely outrageous boner. He’s clearly humiliated. They both know Ingoldo can’t actually do anything to Maitimo without enormous repercussions, but here they are, Maitimo very clearly getting off on being ordered around like a servant.

Ingoldo is not one to pass up anything he sees as an advantage, and he’s not totally settled in at Tirion. He’s still amassing political power, figuring out who does what, where the secret alliances are, who’s planning to poison whom. When Maitimo is done cleaning, he doesn’t leave. He goes and kneels in front of Ingoldo and asks if his lord is pleased. So Ingoldo does the only logical thing and steps on his dick to see what’ll happen. Maitimo comes all over the floor, it ruins Ingoldo’s nice stockings, now there is more mess. Ingo face fucks him for it.

A little while after that, Finno starts playing gay chicken with Ingoldo, gets two steps in, and finds himself facedown in the bed asking his alpha for a knot, which is what Ingoldo was aiming for but didn’t expect to get, and which is a pleasant surprise for Findekáno because it confirms his theory: Ingoldo does is gay.

And Ingoldo starts slowly tightening his control on Maitimo’s personal life. In public and in the administration of the kingdom, he and Findekáno are perfectly respectful and attentive to Maitimo as Fëanáro’s heir. In private, they’re regulating how often he can see his concubine, when and how he serves them. Findekáno and Ingoldo establish a pretty solid partnership as lovers, although Ingoldo never really gets over being annoyed that Finno still likes Maitimo’s concubine, Pearl. They do each start fucking Maitimo as a means of making him submit, and importantly, this has absolutely no effect on his orientation. He is not compelled by alphas sexually, but he DOES like being good for them and giving them what they want. Also, to be entirely clear, Ingoldo and Findekáno love him! And he loves them! They’ve just also got a weird thing going.

Ingoldo hates Pearl so much that he either arranges for them to have an unfortunate accident, or drives them to suicide. He and Finno personally select Maitimo’s next concubine, Coral, and make certain that Coral has absolutely no political or social ambitions. Maitimo manages to have an extremely rare alpha/alpha oops baby, and Coral is conveniently implied to have carried it, which they did not.
