Another scene idea that’s been in my head for many years! I need to practice extreme angles more, heh. Turned out pretty wonky on this attempt.

Senshistocktober Day 3!

Today’s pose was very close to the Host’s greeting/farewell gesture, so I adapted it into that with Askay! The gesture is gently grasping the tip of an ear. It’s functionally similar to tipping a hat or waving at someone.

Askay | Pride 2020

Aromanticism is not the dominant experience on Askay’s homeworld, and is stigmatized and marginalized besides. As such, it has passably direct parallels to the American aromantic experience.

By contrast, their species is hermaphroditic and has no concept of gender-as-identity equivalent to ours; the notion that Askay is nonbinary might thus be considered a bit more coincidental than representational. Still, they were partially raised by both humans and gendered aliens; their relation to gender is thus more complicated than it may otherwise have been. Among other things, they intentionally engage with and subvert human notions of gender presentation.

Realized I basically don’t have anything about Zzkt here on tumblr, so! Figured I’d cross-post this from deviantART. This was going to be an Easter comic, a few years back, but I never got any further than this page. Maybe I should come back and finish it some day. I think it’d be another good, short project to see if I like doing comics now that I have a bit more stamina for art projects than I did for a few years there.
