Sighs. “I don’t know whether to take this as a compliment or to reflect on it!”

“Come now, Dandy, it’s not a competition between us! ‘Sides, yours could be considered too much, whereas mine are just right! Really, though, it’s all in the eye of the beholder, now isn’t it?”

“C’mon, that’s not even remotely funny!” Lupin grit his teeth, shrugging Dandy’s arm off of his shoulder and stepping away from him and Jigen. “I’m not your friggin’ daddy!”

The tall Space Dandy ad been walking back to his ship with his crew member Meow when his attention was caught by an orange something. Ever curious he walked toward it and herd the small girl say she was hungry. That wasn’t right a little kid shouldn’t be hungry. “Hey baby.” He couldn’t help it, it could sound weird and inappropriate, but it wasn’t ment like that. He crouched down to her level. “Why are you out here all alone? It’s dangerous.” The alien cat now found his way over and was looking over his caption’s shoulder.

The child looks up at the weird guy, backing away a little bit. Baby? “I’m not a baby, I’m nine,” she said simply as her hands balled into fists. She might not have anywhere to go, or anyone around her, but she was still trying to be as safe as she could. 

He got down to her level, and she felt a little better, but she kept her distance. People wanted to hurt her. She knew that now. Not everyone was nice. Not many were nice. She had heard about nice people, but her mom had died years ago. The other creature... was really weird too. Was it a weird meowth or something?

    “Oh, NOT MUCH, really,”  he admitted.  “Only every cop in the city seems to have it out for me lately. So much for laying low! And what about you? What’s up in Dandy’s world, hm?”
