Chimes echoed through the small building as father and son made their way inside. The diner was vastly different than any tavern or pub back in Sherwood Forest. From the moment feet shuffled across the entry wonderful smells wrapped the boy in an indescribable warmth. The owner of the establishment had graciously invited the two for a meal after being charmed by the youngest Merry Man’s dimples. This was not the first time a Merry Man had found comfort in the food provided in this institution but Robin had opted to stay close to camp after Little John. The bouncing boy wasted no time shuffling into a booth. Menus were placed down with a promise to return soon for an order. The only issue was the offers were unlike anything Robin had seen before. “What is a cheeseburger?” The question wasn’t meant to be said aloud but judging by Roland’s giggle it had been. The menu was lowered momentarily to playfully glare at the child he sat on his knees with the biggest grin Robin had seen in quite some time. Storybrooke was good for him. A new place to explore and new pople to speak with. It would be of great comfort if only they knew who could be trusted. “I apologize, good sir. Do you know what a cheeseburger is?” Roland laughed a bit more before settling down on his behind to play with the mysterious toy monkey. Robin shook his head and turned back to the menu in hopes of figuring out what all the items were.
