"What affects me is Ivanna. She's not kind to me, she's just like all of the step mothers in fairy tales. But I can't tell it to dad, he is very happy and he doesn't want to hear these kinds of things.. And also I don't see my mom anymore since she has left the country. She writes me letters and phones me when she can, but I miss her... I feel a bit lonely."

10 years old Iris is living in a manichean world~ like every child she sees everything as black and white. 

Her situation is a bit more complicated.

"I have a question for Iris's father: Evan Chriens. When you knew your first wife, Fallon, wanted a divorce, did you do anything to try to save the relationship?, or you gave it up for lost immediately from the first moment you knew it."

"Of course I did! We had a child in infancy and I deeply loved Fallon. For me and for Iris, I wanted her to stay home instead of leaving us to travel places with her new lover. Her act was pure selfishness.

Though, I have part of the responsibility here. I pretended for a long time that everything at home was for the best, until it became too obvious for me to continue to say that the situation was under control. I let our problems grow rather than acting to settle them.

But the worst is that now, in her eyes, it's me who is the villain in Iris's story. She blames me for having married a woman she hates, while I was just trying to build a new family for her and for me after what Fallon had inflicted on us. Nothing happened according to plan."

"Clara, do you want to have a better relationship with Iris or do you think you're better of not knowing her?"

"Well, at first when I was a child - and even recently - I was happy to know I had a big sister. I was dreaming about the moment I would finally meet her, imagining that she would be likeable and charming... as I imagine sisters must be, really!

I saw her a few times at family events but my mother wasn't willing to let me spend more time with her. I can tell they don't have a good relationship...

When my brother Elliott moved to Central, he was able to meet her. And, ah, what he told me about Iris wasn't what I would have expected. Indeed, apparently she was very cold looking and she didn't seem very interested in getting to know the other part of her family.

Bah, I guess that I don't need her anyway. My family is already perfect the way it is!"

"You said you also work as an artist? What kind of art do you normally work with?"

"Currently I'm working with the Police as a forensic artist. My job is to sketch the portrait of wanted persons. 

I started as an artist by having some contracts left and right such as making postcards or posters... Thanks to my mother who is an art critic, I also received some painting orders.

"Dear Iris, how would poor Solf react if he got you pregnant?"

"I think that "poor Solf" would have a reaction similar to mine. Since our relationship is still recent this is not conceivable yet.

"If you and Kimblee had children(a boy and a girl) what would they look like? And what would their names be?"
