Clarification for the Family Affair fic. Did the group fly out to the west cost for game night or do they now have a house on the east coast?
hi my baby! thanks for asking -- so they flew out. since the girls had already been to the house, my original idea (which was in the fic but i cut it due to length) was that michael wanted to have everyone come out for the weekend. and one of the things they did while everyone's in LA was the game night!
Definitely Carrie. She was the first character from the story I made after all!
I've had her for a long time, and changing her story, personality, and design over the years has helped me become a lot better at drawing, character work, as well as other things too! I owe a lot to her existence.
While it's been a bit of a pain to finalize her design over the years, that's one of the big things that's helped me improve so much over time. I love her so much :) She's my baby

I've got an MBJ request! I saw this tiktok where a guy said once he gets in a relationship, he'll just post a pic so you know, but won't even have a caption, and then never post again. But it would be like, a woman's hand holding his chin with a bracelet he bought on her. Or his initials on her nails. I just thought that was so cute and I need it please.
i LOVE this idea!! okay so this ask actually took me a MINUTE to put together bc i wanted to add layers to it to add a bit of a spin. lmk what you think!!
youâre sitting on the patio, legs draped across his lap, sipping slowly from your iced coffee while your phone plays something forgettable in the background. the breeze is lazy, golden hourâs brushing over your shoulder. And michaelâs scrolling silently, phone low in his lap, thumb moving slow.
you donât think anything of it. heâs always quiet like this when youâre together. still, grounded. youâve never needed to fill the air with conversation just to prove something. itâs always been⌠comfortable.
your phone vibrates once on the table beside you. then again. and again.
you glance over, expecting a missed call, maybe a spam text. only to see tati lighting your phone up like itâs on fire.
you blink, brows furrowing as you reach for your phone, confusion thick in your chest. you click over to michaelâs profile, thumb hesitating for half a second before the feed loads.
and there it is.
a photo you sent him a while ago. one you didnât even know he still had â your hand in his, sunlight catching on your bracelets, the curve of his watch, his sneakers in the background.Â
no tag of your username â on purpose, of course. but he just posted straight to his grid, and pinned it, dropping it like a quiet bomb in the middle of the day.
you look over at him slowly.
he doesnât say anything. just glances over at you with a little smile that he does when heâs feeling proud of himself but pretending heâs innocent.
your head tilts. âweâre really doing this?â is written all over your face.
he just blinks at you â itâs cool, casual â and taps his phone screen off.
later that evening, once your pulse has returned to normal and the group chatâs texts have stopped rolling in, you post your nail set. crisp black french tips, and MBJ in clean cursive along your ring finger. youâd added a simple caption: xoxo
of course, he likes it instantly. and underneath it, for everyone to see, he leaves a comment: â¤ď¸đ all yours, pretty girl.
I need more Michael please! Literally told my friend about your girls trip series and she doesnât even have a tumblr.
hi baby!!! i love this!!! thank you so much for your support đ i made sure to put you in my tag list for the series so you donât miss out on ANYYYYYTHING đ
also!!! if your friend has wattpad, iâm uploading chapters on there also.
Can u do a spin version of Lessons in Chivalry? Like reader has a hard time understanding as to why he wants to do all this things for even though she is pretty capable of doing all the things that Michael wants to do for her. She loves her independents and has self satisfaction when she can take care of herself without having to rely on a man even if he is being a gentleman.
I may be projecting but when I read this I was like would I let my man do this for me I donât know. I would see myself sadly getting a little irritated by the fact I couldnât spend my money and having to hear âyou could have just used my cardâ well I donât because I have my own money. U can just completely ignore this if you want.
No hate to the fic or you as a writer. Love the fics you make â¤ď¸
Hi bby! Thank you for asking this. I think this is a great spin-off idea. Especially since a lot â not all â of us were ingrained with the idea that we had to do things ourselves, grow up quick, etc. So our hyperindependence is not something that we can just.. let go of. And Iâm definitely in that category, too.
Hereâs what Iâm thinking about it.
His love language is acts of service, for sure. So it doesnât always register to him that youâd want to do things on your own, for yourself.
And it would definitely be an argument, too. Because though you like that he loves you enough to literally uproot his entire day, just to make sure youâre taken care of, he doesnât have to do that. Youâre perfectly capable of taking care of yourself, and just because heâs come along, that doesnât mean that he gets to swoop in and just⌠make your hard work up to now obsolete.
â
You stand at the kitchen counter, your fingers drumming a frustrated rhythm on the cool marble. The overhead light casts a soft glow, catching on the half-eaten takeout containers littering the sink, clear evidence of the kind of day itâs been. A headache throbs behind your eyes, and all you want is to sit down with a glass of wine and breathe.
But Michaelâs voice cuts through the room, gentle but unrelenting. âHey, I took care of the car today. Oil change, new wipers, and I paid the mechanic already.â
You blink, stunned for a moment. âYou⌠what?â
He grins, like heâs done something wonderful. âYeah. Thought Iâd save you the trouble. They said it was overdue.â
You can feel your heart sink, like heâs cracked something open youâve been holding together with spit and willpower. âMichael, I told you I was handling that.â
His brows draw together, his smile fading. âNo I know, but I had time, and I figuredââ
âNo,â you interrupt, voice sharper than you intend. âYou figured you could handle it better. Like Iâm some little girl who canât keep up with her own shit.â
His jaw tightens, his hands bracing against the counter. âThatâs not what I meant. I was just trying to help.â
You feel the tears sting, but you refuse to let them fall. âItâs not helpful when you just â do it without asking me. I budgeted for that, Michael. I was gonna handle it. I like knowing I can take care of myself.â
He runs a hand over his face, that familiar furrow between his brows deepening. âI know you can. I know you donât need me for everything.â
âThen why do you keep swooping in?â Your voice cracks, raw and trembling. âWhy does it feel like youâre always fixing things before I even get a chance to try?â
His eyes meet yours, dark and soft and somehow so damn apologetic it makes your chest ache. âBecause thatâs how I show I care. Thatâs how I was raised, okay? You take care of the people you love. You take things off their plate so they can breathe.â
âBut what if I want to handle my own plate, Michael?â You drop your gaze, shoulders heavy. âWhat if I need that to feel like myself?â
Silence stretches between you, thick and humming with unspoken things. He steps closer, his warmth wrapping around you even though he doesnât touch you yet. âBaby, Iâm sorry. I didnât think about it like that. I see you running yourself ragged all the time, and it makes me want to help. Iâll ask next time, okay? Iâll let you do your thing.â
Your eyes lift, meeting his. You nod stiffly, slightly hating that this is the hill youâre choosing to die on. âI know. I donât mind you trying to help, and most of the time it is helpful, even though it makes me feel weird.â You let out a heavy sigh, like you didnât realize this was sitting so heavily on your shoulders. âI donât want you to feel like Iâm pushing you away, I just ⌠need to feel like I can stand on my own two feet sometimes.â
His hand cups your cheek, his thumb brushing away a tear you didnât even realize had fallen. âAnd you do. Every day, you prove that to me. I just need to get better at proving to you that I see it.â
You lean into his touch, your anger fading as quickly as it came. âI love you.â
He smiles, soft and knowing. âI love you too. Even when youâre mad at me.â
â
I think overall thereâd be a compromise. Like he wouldnât cart you around everywhere as much, or heâd back off on the credit card thing â unless itâs for big purchases. Heâs not budging on that.
And heâd also ease up on the lectures. I think part of the reason he used to be so adamant about it is because heâs seen your frustration and exhaustion as a result of overworking yourself and stressing about finances. Because when you first started dating, thereâd be that clear discrepancy of yes, youâre capable of taking care of yourself, but obviously, heâs in a completely different tax bracket.Â
So his perspective would be that, heâs in a position to allow you to relax and, in his mind, itâd be the perfect dynamic where he handles everything so that his pretty girl can just be ⌠pretty. No money stress. No car stress. Nothing. But for you, that's just not reasonable (all the time).
The other thing that I think would have to ultimately be a mutual compromise, would be like what things do you handle on your own? I think for him, his biggest thing would be to make you feel like youâre able to maintain your independence but not fall into the trap of not asking for help when you actually need it.
So maybe heâd handle your carâs insurance and gas (heâs not budging on pumping your gas, either), while you handle maintenance. We know he loves to cook, so you might get groceries on your way home from yoga (both paid for with your own money), and heâll cook for you.
But there are also some things that youâll willingly let him handle because.. duh. Like personally, I donât want to pay for my nails â all the shit I get done on my nails? shieeeet take this bill, pls (one of these days Iâll share a pic).Â
Or my hair.Â
Or a spa day.
Or trips. I want to glide when I travel. So in my head, thatâd fully be on him.
Ultimately, his goal would be to prove to you that heâs all in. No holds barred, no questions about his commitment â just you. And because youâre his person, and more importantly, heâs your person, thereâd have to be a rhythm that you find where thereâs a balance between letting him have his moment, and him letting you have yours.
Hopefully that answers your question, my love! â¤ď¸
