Hetty, I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but I don't understand why the Herondales are regarded as the heroic family. Yes, Will was a hero, but so was Jem, Gabriel, Gideon, Charlotte and Henry in the same amount. Jace was a hero, but so was Clary (even more if I may say), Izzy, Alec. James too, but probably so was Cordelia, Matthew, Anna. Its not like Will and Jace were the main heroes on the wars, it was the girls. And the Herondales had a lot of insignificant members in the family as well.
I honestly think that it’s more that they’re a big family through all the generations (not just the ones we’ve seen) but I agree, it’s a bit confusing considering what we’ve read but ???
