Okay but wait, I need more backstory on Cliff's 2 kids lol You mentioned they have different moms, does that mean one lives in Boston and the other in a different city? And once Roz finds out about them, does he become more involved in their lives? Like does he affectionately become Uncle Ilya to two menaces running around the practice rink?? I hc Ilya spoils them rotten, bounces them on his shoulders and gifts them loud toys (drums!!) to mess with Cliff's sanity haha

well. perhaps you wont be pleased to hear this but unfortunately i dont think cliff is father of the year. hes not a deadbeat and he is paying child support on time for SURE but i really think he is seeing them on the weekends when no games and like maybe alternating weeks during the offseason. yes two different moms but probably both in boston and probably just girlfriends he knocked up when he was pretty young…no longer with either of them but coparents amicably with both.
and like in my mind theyre both boys and they have catholic ass names like peter and joseph and they have little mullet rat tails and theyre very badly behaved but they love their dad and thinks hes the coolest. but also cliff is like more of an uncle to them and less of a dad… LOL
crucially ilya does not know about these children until they’ve been playing together for several years. by the time ilya discovers their existence theyre probably like 9 and 12. i think his interactions with them are pretty limited but maybe like one summer when cliff and ilya are hanging out cliff has to take one of the kids on short notice and cliff is like fuckkk sorry man we can hang another time… and ilya is like.. eh what the hell. and they all play call of duty together and order a pizza and its the best weekend of little joeys life
