Tomb of Petosiris in Tuna el Gebel, necropolis of Hermopolis Magna (Egyp. Khmun; Arab. el-Ashmulein). Currently el-Minya governorate of Middle Egypt.Â
The tomb was built around 4th century BC, the time of last native rulers of Egypt, but it shows strong Persian and Greek influence. There are wonderful colored reliefs in mixed Egyptian and Greek style depicting scenes of “daily life” and purely Egyptian religious compositions.Â
