Hi Ashii! I saw your post so I was wondering if you could write: DAY 4 (6/20): DATES//FOOD/BEVERAGES - Iidayama - Iida is in a rush for some reason and bumps into Aoyama so the food/drink spills over. Iida makes up for it through a date. What do you think?
@eclair I hope you enjoy my Day 4 piece for @bnha-fluff-week along with anyone else who reads this rare pair!
Day 4: Food/Beverages, Dates
He had no idea how time managed to slip past him. He needed to attend Aizawa-sensei’s office hours but desired a power nap to get him through the rest of the day.
Class rep duties were rigorous. He was also in the middle of his internship, on top of school. It was exhausting but he couldn’t let anyone know how tired he was.
He tore through the hallway of the dorm, praying no one would see his abhorrent behavior. As he walked through the exit, he realized he forgot his notes.
Iida froze, then turned and began to run upstairs. He engaged his quirk for a slight edge, then found himself crashing into a figure suddenly appearing in front of him. They collided, tumbling to the floor, along with a plate of spaghetti. The figure let out a cry of pain.
He pushed himself up and looked at the victim of his untoward behavior. Aoyama was wincing and rubbing his arm. Iida stared in shock before uttering a stream of intelligible apologies.
Aoyama giggled and Iida breathed a sigh of relief. At least he didn’t hate him. “Mon Dieu, you were certainly traveling fast! So naughty.”
Iida felt his face flush. “There is no acceptable excuse for running inside. I hope you can forgive me for my foolish behavior.”
He took Aoyama’s hand and helped pull him up. Aoyama seemed to have no problem staying close to him, well within his personal space. “You spilled my dinner.”
Aoyama was far too close for Iida to think of a response. He’d noticed Aoyama from a distance since the first days of school and it was increasingly difficult to ignore his schoolboy crush after witnessing his bravery during the provisional license exam. “Um.”
“You should make it up to me.” Aoyama leaned closer, resting his hand on Iida’s chest. “Buy me dinner.”
They both blinked in surprise at Iida’s sudden response. Iida cleared his throat. “Yes. To be clear, this would be a date. You would be my date.”
“I just - um - I need to study math.”
“You’re far less eloquent when you’re blushing, monsieur.” Aoyama stepped away from Iida and began to clean the spilled spaghetti on the floor.
“I’ll be fine. Go ‘study math’ and I’ll be here for you to take me out.” Aoyama spoke as though a date after an event like this was normal.
“Are you sure?” Iida was torn. It was surely the proper thing to help Aoyama, his future date, clean the floor, but he was now extremely late.
“Absolutely. The faster you get done with that, the faster we can eat dinner together!” He let out a giggle and waved at Iida.
He turned and walked out of the dorm, jogging down the sidewalk to get to Aizawa-sensei’s office hours. Only upon entering his office did he realize he was still covered in spaghetti sauce and never got his notes from his room.
