They're a very casual couple. Since both of them work a lot due to their respective funcions (one pretty much cleans the whole Starr Park, as we've seen during the Dark Sands sneak peek where the Castle Courtyard trio are in a place totally different from usual; and the other one is a security guard), they get really tired. Therefore, they are unable to do such big romantic gestures. Actually, they're are very fine by just... being in each other's presence. They wouldn't exchange their usual routine for nothing

I mean, seeing this, we can even think they're normal ppl: they have dinner, go watch something, put Moe to sleep, go back to watching something, go to their room, kiss, maybe [REDACTED] or not, sleep together on each other's arms.... they also do lots of things together when on their day's off, but all casual again: maybe they'll cook something! Yeah, they should cook something! Probably would taste like dogshit after but hey! They had fun while doing it and that's what matters, right??? (Ash was absolutely mad when Grom cooked their pasta too much, making it look like some weird bread dough w/ out bread dough consistence)

They've got their own troubles, but they manage to understand each other very well. Sometimes there are conflicts due to their very different personalities and ways of coping w/ their problems, but they can solve it later with a good talk. Grom has no problem in showing vulnerability (maybe shows too much for what's healthy sometimes) so he has no problem (hell, even wants it!) with Ash being around him, comforting him. Meanwhile, Ash's very avoidant towards Grom whenever overwhelmed (Grom is one of the few people in the park Ash is fond of, so Ash doesn't wanna target his worst level of anger at him). It took a while for Grom to understand that, but now he knows what to do: reach Ash after the dust's gone down, so they can talk about what happened while Ash is calmer and even do something to forget their problems

Last, but not least important: Moe's their son fr fr (it's canon, Supercell set fire to my house just to get me out of there to tell me that)
