I don't know if it's worth it anymore...
Deidara didn't have a clue where he was going; but then, he supposed that was all part of the fun.
At least, it had started out as fun. His trek through Taki to Kusa had actually been pretty dangerous, considering it was snuggled right up to the border of a country that wanted to see his head on a stick the most, (read: Iwa) but somehow, he had made it out unscathed. After that, the artist had managed to smuggle himself through Ame, and now he was...
Well, that was just it--he didn't know, because his map had gotten soggy from all that freaking rain.
Leader's old domain, he thought cantakerously. Sometimes he wondered if Pein had actually enjoyed the whole 'perpetual rain' thing, or if he was just a dramatic masochist who expressed his misery by showering it upon a whole portion of the world via storm. It was functional and served artistic purpose, though, so he'd never actually complained.
Because really, Deidara could easily think of a hundred reasons as to why he hated the place as he trudged through the endless puddles on the street leading out to the next border town. He hated how the wet grass would squelch and squeak under his shoes--god, he hated that sound!-- and he especially loathed the way the grimy mud would get between his toes. Showers weren't all that easy to come by these days.
The atmosphere he found himself in now was what was best describe as the exact opposite of Ame. At this very moment, he was trying to determine just how he felt about that.
There were boulders. Lots of them. In fact, aside from a few rare, brittle trees, that's nearly all there seemed to be. They jutted up all around the small patches of green fields surrounding him. It was as if someone had smashed a mountainside, resulting in a rock slide...
Deidara blinked and gradually slowed to a stop between two especially large stones, lifting his face. Obviously the entrance to some hidden village...
"Oh..." he said quietly, as it all clicked in.
Well, he supposed that was alright. This particular village, he didn't know too much about, but the country itself he knew was pretty unresponsive to whoever came and passed through its territory--so long as there was no hostility. Deidara would have to keep himself in check so as to not draw any attention to himself.
Bummer, the artist pouted a little, puffing his cheeks. Oh, well. It was just for a few days, or at least until he decided on where to go from here. Shrugging his shoulders, the ex-terrorist carefully stepped past through the rocky entrance and onto the winding bridge that lead into the Hidden Stone village.
