There is this abandoned time loop Ashebones fic on AO3 called Duality that haunts me. It starts with the Treasure Island death of Billy Bones in front of Abigail at the inn then she wakes up locked up in the fort in Nassau a decade earlier and I want SO badly to write a kind of remix of it. I haven't attempted anything as ambitious as a time loop fic before though and it seems especially intimidating because the show has so many moving parts to juggle, particularly at the end of S2.
The premise is just so intriguing and there are no other Ashebones time loop fics that I've found. There were some incredible Hellcheer time loop fics that floored me during my time in that fandom and I kinda always wanted to try my hand at it.
Perhaps I'll just rotate the idea in my brain for awhile and see what happens. This poor ship is very much dead so there's definitely no pressure while I cook.
