“i’m happy to inform you that you don’t need to look after me today, because i am, in fact, not hungover, nor drunk !!” and okay, maybe he shouldn’t announce that as a victory, especially because the main reason for any of that was a simple lack of time, rather than a true desire to not do a round of shots the day before training started. but hey, training had started now, he was sober, and he had a smile on his face to boot. whatever he was lacking, whatever seemed wrong, could be pushed down to be dealt with on another day, again, and surely that truly was a victory. there was one thing he couldn’t ignore, though -- “hey, ash, do you wanna get lunch together ?? have you eaten yet ??”

so, she’d smashed her phone. it seemed the most inefficient solution to the tribute feed cutting out intermittently, but it at least seemed a trademark move on percy’s part. she’d paced up and down the hallway as though it could fix the cracks in her screen, or at least make the damn phone turn on, but, annoyingly enough, percy had always been excellent at breaking things beyond repair. it seemed as though she was just starting on a new project then, when she’d looked too closely at the dead screen, and hadn’t noticed the person in front of her till she’d already roughly bumped into them. as percy fell back, she dropped her phone once again, and had to declare it completely lifeless.

“ash -- ash !! ash, ash, ash !!” yuri was a little too drunk, a little too excited. he was tripping over his feet and taking no note of it. this was the weirdest trip he’d ever been on, even if being on a train had almost felt like home. and with the whole.. assassination thing and everything on top of it, yuri felt as though he was allowed a drink to forget about it. or a few drinks. maybe a couple more, still. “ash, we should dance !! do you want to dance with me ?? i think we should dance,” he insisted, a hand held out as though he’d assumed the answer for her already.
