What would your main character hyperfixate on?
hmmm i have 2 main characters so i’ll answer this for both of them!
ash: he would hyperfixate on cartography and star charts. he’s very interested in mapping things, figuring out the precise locations of places, objects, and landmarks, and navigating. as someone who scraps for metal and searches for resources to survive, it’s important for him to know where everything is and how to get there.
lily: she would hyperfixate on plants. growing up in a magnificent rainforest means that she knows and understands flora very well. she can tell you which plants are poisonous, which ones are good for medicine, which ones are good to eat, and which ones will eat you if you’re not careful. that knowledge carries over when she leaves her home - she quickly learns which plants are good and which are bad wherever she travels.
