I recently had the Ascheri Gavi di Gavi on a hot summer night in Boston's North End, at Panza, with some great Italian food. Boy, was this the perfect summer wine! It was outrageously fresh, lively, and each sip seemed to rush my palate with cool herb and lime notes. It retails for around $17 and would be a gift to someone's dinner party, so long as you bring it chilled!
