here’s the thing though, in the doom 3 options menu you only really get 4 presets (low, medium, high, ultra) and no option to customize them in-game. doom 3 is weird in the aspect that you cannot select texture quality in the in-game options menu. instead, the game automatically determines which res of texture you should get based on how much vram you have. except, the game doesn’t detect my card’s vram, only guess how much i have based on which preset i selected. AND EVEN THEN, it gave me the wrong amount despite me selecting ultra, so i had to change all the settings set from 256 MB vram in my config to 1024 MB.
