Salarians eagerly bask in humid environments. The moisture tends to moisten their skin and the heat appeals to their cold blooded nature. salarians would benifit from light misting in heated environments unlike the produce section, more akin to the chafing dish.

Turians aren’t too particular about their environment. At least many claim not to be, hard for sure but sometimes a bird enjoys a bit of comfort. The sweltering heat of Pavalen is often comparable to the average temporary housing for a rotisserie chicken.

The krogans are on the “food aisle” of ollie’s. They thrive in rough environments and as a resale store the whole place is nothing short of rough. This is purely out of affection by the way there’s just nothing else.

And then we start copying them and they’re either terrified or amused by it.

I mean on a surface level for other races it may not pop out. hey the human is being less confusing/their body language is so much more readable now! and then some of the more paranoid would go “they’re trying to lower our defenses by duplicating our intimate subtle languages…and then kill us all!!”

Asari express many emotions simply through subtle energy shifts. Younger asari are noted for having shit lying skills due to their lack of control over biotic energy. Their intricacies lie within their energy, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have body language. The pursing of lips, while not exclusive to asari, is noted to communicate intense frustrations or discomfort. Humans eagerly picked up on the habit, often mimicking the asari to convey their own feelings of discontent. Popular consensus in asari spaces on the extranet was that it was adorable.

Krogan use their teeth as a threat. It’s common for krogan to ‘smile’ at each other as an act of intimidation, thought biting isn’t usually the most practical form of combat for them. You tend to lose a lot of teeth that way. Then humans came along all toothy and having the general label as the biggest bullies next to turians! A lot of hostility brewed between the two species and eventually it became common knowledge that “when a human bares it teeth at you that’s not an invite to fight,” and “don’t smile at krogan, it usually ends up with a cracked rib.” Now it seems a lot of bar fights between krogans and humans are initiated with ‘smiles’ and done so purposefully.
