Bending gets reintroduced into this modern AU. Korra's new life as the Avatar, and her blossoming relationship with Asami, are put to the test when a group called the Blue Lotus decides to alter the Avatar.

My Take: The first half of this fic is some of the cutest and fluffiest stuff I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. The whole bit in the coffee shop has me laughing every single time. But, as the author says in the blurb, you should walk away after chapter 6 if you’re only here for the cute and fluffies. Once bending is reintroduced, all hell breaks loose and we get to see just how strong Korra is (or isn’t), how solid her Relationship with Asami really is, and what actual balance in the world looks like.
Despite starting out very clearly as a modern au, this fic starts to feel more and more like a cannon divergent piece as you get further into it. But then something comes up that reminds you and it’s like a pleasant surprise all over again.
