Since the night they met, Anakin couldnât get the mysterious blonde girl out of his mind. It was both a blessing and a curse: His visions of her distracted him from his affairs at the Jedi Temple, freeing his mind from some of the stress but also leaving him somewhat unfocused and even Obi-Wan a tad bit concerned. Heâd been trying to balance it for the last few days, even shake her off as someone heâd never see again. Most people he helped heâd never seen again. That was just what the Jedi did: They were completely and utterly selfless, helping those in need without any attachment, because there simply couldnât be. Heâd helped countless of people and saved their lives-- what made this girl any different?
She was beautiful to say the least, like a sunrise; her yellow hair haloed a bright face, topped off with a little sassy tongue he couldnât forget either and was singed by. And heâd never really felt this way about anyone else before, always pushing away from the idea because it was forbidden. Anakinâs vice was that he had a tough time adhering to the rules, and Obi-Wan often warned him that itâd get them both into irreparable trouble one day. Though he thought getting to know a pretty girl wouldnât be that harmful, would it?
Padme was, of course, totally off-limits, even if his teenaged rat-tailed self liked her, too. But as she grew older, her position in the Senate became more and more important, and it was clear that both of them would be too busy in their respective responsibilities to dedicate time and effort into each other. They ended up evolving into a strong pair of allies, even friends if Padme didnât roll her eyes at everything he did.Â
Nevertheless, Anakin woke up on this particular day determined to see the blonde again. He felt stupid, not even grabbing her name before they were torn away from each other. But he wondered if sheâd ever forget the Jedi who saved her from getting captured by a bounty hunter for his ransom, something heâd never allow to happen, no matter who it was. Heâd left the Jedi Temple under an alibi that he was going to grab some intel on General Grievousâ location as the Clone Wars raged on, and that convinced Obi-Wan enough, who had his own matters to tend to today. But in all truth, Anakin had left on his speeder seeking the blonde.Â
Enough sleuthing and asking around led him right on her tail somewhere on Coruscant, a busy street closer to the ground, signaling a higher population of those in the middle and lower classes. As he walked, people seemed to make way for him, though he needed to stay discreet as he chocked up the courage to approach the girl. Once he saw her stop at a fruit stand, he tapped her shoulder and cleared his throat. âExcuse me?â he asked. âDo you remember me? Iâm Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight. I saved you that night from Enzo Dalibar, the Rodian bounty hunter.â
