“In November of 2016, I had just visited Portland, Oregon. You may already be aware that, it's also known as the Rose City. While flowers were already an interest, being a photographer/artist, roses weren't exactly the reason I decided to visit.

Even before I left, I was experimenting with plants and growing things. At a young age, I learned to mow the lawn and some general landscaping. So, there was always an interest but, something must have stuck with me.

Maybe it was coincidence. Maybe it was something else but, for whatever reason, while cruising the garden center I came across a rosebush on the clearance rack.”
