#ary rambles

Both of them wanted the best for the world/universe, the desire for absolute power via senseless murder and war I know the 4 ninja war wasn´t Madara idea but he didn´t seem against it, the way they see themselves as the savior or messiah that will bring peace to everyone and the no remorse for killing their kind (like Thanos using Gamora as a sacrifice and Madara no sympathy to Sasuke). 

ALSO quite honestly Thanos is as much of a sadistic bastard as Madara just saying. 

Then the fact that Thanos solution was to KILL half the universe while Madara wanted them to LIVE in their dream world. One solution was genocided and the other... massive illusion? Gigantic grape talked how he was merciful and compassioned, how he was the powerful being that will free every one of their misery. Kind of megalomaniac? Absolutely. But Madara is the same, just he was fully aware he is a sadistic asshole the whole time. A psychopath? Clearly but I still love him uwu

That is what started this comparison, the similarities and differences (that in a minute), both of them being this drastic, the seek of absolute power and  their way of thinking influenced by loss: Thanos witnessing Titan destruction and Madara childhood in the war, both saw people die and wanted to make things right but in the wrong way. 

But talking about the DIFFERENCES, you tough I was done

Madara clearly saw himself as the BAD guy while Thanos, believe it or not, saw himself as the GOOD guy. Thanos never saw his actions as EVIL or CORRUPtED, he truly believes he was saving the universe.And kind of made a religion of him, like the way Squidward talked in the spaceship made it seem he worshipped Thanos. 

Back to Madara, he ABSOLUTELY SAW HIMSELF AS A GOD and even bragged about it. Most of his comments where like “Taste the power of a God” “I have surpassed the Gods”. But Madara knew or presented himself as THE bad guy, he accepted the title of baddy of the history but he didn´t care as long his dream will make everyone live at peace. 

Other difference could be that Madara didn´t kill innocents as in outside the battlefield, we only saw him kill shinobis (except that one time in that flashback with the Tsuchikage but we don´t really know a lot about that time period), not like Thanos that went planet by planet killing everyone in his way

So to end this ramble that has prolonged enough. Thanos and Madara imagine of peace and balance are similar but have some key differences. One wanted to kill in order to even things and the other wanted to give them the life they dreamed. 

But this is just me overthinking fiction so... meh
