Another question: Will Josh Horowitz be making an appearance in the Regency-verse? My impression is that he’s Percy’s closest non-demigod friend in the SYS-verse, so I think it’s odd that we haven’t really seen him show up in the Regency-verse (yet).
It's funny you should mention that. So the idea of putting Senior Year characters into the Regency verse is (relatively) new. I wish I had thought of it sooner because I would have done something with Josh very early on in ItSotK. Finding a way to retconn him in has been a challenge. The short answer is: he's always been there, we just haven't seen him yet.
To give you the background I've developed that you will get at some point:
He was a printers apprentice in the neighborhood of the boarding house, and that's how they knew each other. But about the time that Percy went off to sea, Josh and Darah(who was a housemaid nearby) ran off to Gretna Green (since her parents never would have let her marry Josh because Jewish). He hasn't been back in a while as a result, but at some point soon I plan to bring them both into the narrative.
