Also, I just want to go on record here and say that the best scene across all 5 books is in Nectar of Immortality when Rudy took Aiden's emo artsy aesthetic to avoid direct contact with his family and it worked. I love the aruden moments as much as the next girl, but it was gave me so much relief for Aru to laugh at Aiden's expense for once, especially at that point in the book
Aru’s always the one who makes the references, we all know that. Especially LOTR ones. But why do we forget that Aiden is just as big an LOTR nerd as Aru? Like in almost no fanfics do I see where Aru says a reference and then Aiden plays along and then they're dying of laughter by the end, and everyone else is just staring at them wondering what's going on, like isn't that so cute?
When aru goes missing in between tow and cog Aiden makes a little friend group at school but not on purpose, like they thought he was cool and kinda just absorbed him

he loves to talk about his friend aru and they’re picking up the vibes and then when aru comes back they pick up the vibes from her too
and then when they find out that aruden got together they throw a little lunch table party
one of them brings a cake
and aru and Aiden are like “were we that obvious?” Bc ofc the potatoes knew but everyone except each other being able to pick up on it is embarrassingggggg 🎶
