The link is in this post. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As you know I’m working on a series of paintings to get comfortable with using @procreate on my new iPad Pro 2020. Can you see some improvement between Cordelia and Aleksandar? 🎨 This contest was such a perfect prompt for digital painting and I created my first RPG character! Now, I wish someone would develop the game. 😁 As a 🇷🇸/🇨🇦 I could have created a warrior from either country, but I opted for Serbian, because I figure that there are more Canadians who would enter this competition than Serbs. Also, since the Lockdown I’ve been haunted by what my life would have been like if there was never a war in Yugoslavia. So many people I love are gone. I thought that getting in touch with my roots would help relieve the melancholy that has wrapped around me like a wet cloak. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On the painting front, I had to go back twice and rework the bits that were not working. Initially, I started working on Aleksandar by building him up like a clay sculpture. It looked horrible! Then I decided to create shadow and light grouping (see Image 6), and develop the form from there — much better. If you watch my Reel you can see the steps involved. 😊 I’m about 95% happy with this artwork so I hope you enjoy it, too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Next up: Continuing to develop “Elatsoe” illustration.
