Chai & Biscuit My Mum and I religiously have a small cup of fragrant Indian tea and some biscuits every morning at 6.45am without fail. I start making the tea at around 6.15 am and let it simmer for about 30 minutes with loads of ginger, close, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, saffron and sugar, it's very delicious, try it sometime! It may seem to be a very mundane and non-significant activity but to me it means the World. It’s amazing how many lessons there are in life that don’t really change. The world changes in many ways, but in so many ways it remains the same and that is what I learn from my mother. We talk about everything under the sun, we crack jokes, argue ,make plans and sometimes we even fight! Moments like these are priceless and are worth remembering. My mum has an amazing glee and enthusiasm in her blind eye that is enchanting. Her allure cannot be ignored and there could not be a better start to my day. 'F A L L' A Beautiful Sadness Autumn/Fall is the best time of the year, it's my earliest connection with nature. It represents a beautiful cycle of loss, regeneration , regrowth and strength. It's a season when energy settles into the earth. There is an incredible sense of a beautiful sadness to this season. I am particularly fond of the gorgeous display created by leaves from the trees , multi-colored works of art and in gold, sunset oranges and red, its magical!. It creates bare, and vulnerable branches, revealing the true scenery underneath. I live in Scotland and it is one of most beautiful places on earth, it looks wonderful all year around but nothing beats its beauty in Fall. This season reaffirms my faith in humanity, it cleanses my soul, it brings me back to the ground. It tell me that no matter what we are, where we are one day it's all going to end. It keeps me grounded most importantly it makes me feel 'Still', being still and feeling stable is extremely important and the season of Fall does that to me.
