Science or art? What looks like typical botanical illustration is actually making a statement about the impact of nuclear and human actions on our natural world. These paintings show mutated bugs from the nuclear accident site of the Chernobyl disaster. 

The controversy behind Robert Arneson’s portrait bust of Mayor Moscone, who was assassinated before this artwork was commissioned by the San Francisco State.

How does this compare to the usual commemorative public art we see?

For anyone who's interested there's a Photoshop add-on called Flaming Pear - Ghost.

It gets rid of all the white in an image with the click of a button.

Real handy if you scan a drawing and want your lines on a separate layer. (or if you accidentally fill something white and need just the lines again like I just did)

I started drawing for the first time in grade 9. And it was tracing Yugioh screenshots. But because I traced them, I came to understand the style. And then not long after, I began to draw my own characters in that style. And then developed my own style, and discovered that I actually really enjoyed drawing. Which made me want to improve enough on my own to get into art school and study animation.

If you ask me to draw a skeleton, I can without looking up reference because I've traced and copied it so many times I remember where all the bones are. Same with muscles.(though a little more rusty in that area cause I haven't done it in forever)
