7. a hug + kiss combo. / RNG

         Jesse had hung back when everyone else had gone to greet those who had come back from the mission. It didn’t feel right to barge to the front lines to see him, not yet anyway. Their relationship was still new, ambiguous. He wasn’t used to second-guessing himself, but here he was. Was it too soon? But then again, it wasn’t like friends didn’t go to see each other. 

          But something about it felt… intimate. The joy of seeing that the other was alright was a vulnerable feeling, one he wasn’t sure he wanted public yet.

          So he waited by the doors into the main base, gaze passing Ana and Reinhardt, grazing over Angela, until he zeroed in on someone.

          He did a once-over; everything seemed to be in check, and it seemed that he’d noticed Jesse too. The gunslinger smiled, and met him half-way.

          Gathering Genji into a hug, he pressed a kiss to his faceplate, smiling down at him, “Glad t’ see y’re alright, doll,” he admitted.

his body looked to be of wire and metal, zelda first noted, perfectly interwoven and fashioned together in a balanced harmony she hadn’t known was possible. mechanical, but his movements and posture felt too fluid to have been crafted from metal alone— armour, is her next idea. but the design is unfamiliar; she cannot pinpoint or recall any knight or adventurer clad in something so distinct.

                                            for a moment, the princess is staring.

❛ are you lost ? ❜  she finally spoke, meeting his gaze and studying his profile, outlined by the glow of the afternoon sun. it was a rare occurrence to stumble upon an outsider during her adventures; her journey to and from the ruins were generally uneventful. quiet, even. ( outside of the occasional beast that might aim for her head, of course. )
