I think that H is 1) getting better at boundaries more broadly, including how she answers questions in interviews, and 2) protecting T. I remember last year thinking that he must not be doing okay. He is not a ln outside person and he was very outside for an extended period. I remember an article (I don’t remember which one), where H was asked about self-care and she mentioned her evening routine. She said “I want to be really careful about not exploiting my relationship…” I remember thinking at the time, there must be conversations about keeping their relationship private (as a means of protecting it).
We do not know what happened and it’s clear we will not know what happened, unless and until some point in the future they’ve moved past whatever this is and feel comfortable doing so. But I think somewhere in there, something has happened with T and she’s not will to say what. She’s spoken to us through these songs and we do have a high level understanding that something’s happened and it’s caused her to deconstruct this aspect of her life. And ultimately whatever T is going through she is fiercely protecting it because it’s his story to tell (or choose not too)
