((We got dat story for ya! Present day, Arthur has a small chat with Andric.))
“Ah. So I see that she told you about the half Human, half Mythic thing.” He scoffed, “Of course she did…And it looks you damn things are everywhere…” Caroline blinked a couple of times before chuckling, “…E-Excuse me…?” He made a face of false sympathy, “Aww, did I offend you?” He chuckled, beginning to circle around the fairy. She looked at him with a shocked expression, “What the hell? What happened to the ‘your name has a nice ring to it’ thing?!” She balled her hands into fists, a white aura with small particles surrounding them. Arthur sighed, “So you think I like the fact that she’s half Mythic? You creatures are already a plague enough as it is, so it makes it all the more irritating that it’s spread into royalty.” She was just about to go for his neck, until he immediately pulled out his bow and an arrow, aiming it at her as a green aura surround the arrow head. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you…”
Arthur sighed, taking her hand into his and glaring at Caroline with an angered expression. “I’ll tell you what’s going on. Your friend here attack me! Just out of the blue!” Alexa darted her eyes towards the fairy, a shocked looked on her face, “You what?! I thought you were happy for me! Why in the hell would you attack him?!” Caroline’s heart fell, noticing her eyes were back to a dark purple once he grabbed her hand, well, a lighter shade now that she was upset. “I…I didn’t attack him! He threatened me, and almost shot me with an arrow!” Alexa looked up at him, a brow raised. “Arthur, tell me the truth. Did you threaten her…?” He shook his head, “No, I didn’t. I would never lie to you.” She sighed looking back at Caroline, “Cari, why would you lie to me like this…?” Her shoulders began to sulk, her eyes averting her gaze. “I’m not lying Lexie, if I was I wouldn’t be trying this hard to convince you.” Alexa pinched the rim of her nose, sighing once more before Arthur kissed her cheek, and guiding her back to the path. “Come on love, I’ll take you home.”
It opened, revealing a man with red eyes and brown hair on the other side. He raised a brow at her, “Caroline? What’re you doing here?” She didn’t answer, her head hung low. He placed a hand on her chin, lifting her head up, “Lass, what’s wrong?” She sighed, taking his hand and pulling him inside the room, “Andric, we need to talk…” He sighed and let her pull him inside, closing the door behind them, and locking it.
Arthur made his way down the hall, clutching a small box in his hand as he walked down the hall, only to bump into a certain crimson-eyed guard. Andric towered over him, his eyes narrowed at the Prince as he leaned down and got uncomfortably close to his face. Arthur stood silently, a nervous expression on his face as his eyes darted in every direction but the other's gaze. The guard glanced down at his hand, noticing the small box that he held onto so tightly. His eyes then brought his attention back to Arthur with a brow raised, "Mind telling me what's in the box, sire...?" Arthur cleared his throat, bringing his attention back to the guard and looking as if he'd just committed a felony. "It's...Um...I can't tell you." He continued to stare down the prince, his brow still raised in suspicion, "And why not, your highness? Of you don't mind me asking." Arthur sighed and stuffed the box into his pocket, folding his arms and looking back up at Andric. "I do mind actually, so it would be best to mind your damn business..." His tone was a mixture of irritation and anger, and this did not make his situation any better since Andric already wanted to talk to him about what happened between him and his fairy, so the attitude wasn't making Andric's mood any better.
The brown haired male's twitched slightly, standing up straight and letting out a very irritated sigh. "Look your highness, I'm sorry for invading on your personal belongings, but I need to make sure that its safe for the princess. However, I digress. I need to have a word with you about something that happened between you and Caroline in the forest." Arthur scoffed, raising a brow at the guard, "So you know that thing? You know what, don't answer that. Of course you know it because it's friends with that poor excuse of a princess." Andric grabbed him by his collar, lifting him off of the ground a bit so their eyes met. Piercing ruby stared into brilliant topaz, Andric's grip becoming tighter on the prince, "Alright I've had enough of this Arthur. First, you do not ever speak ill of my girlfriend. And secondly, do you really want me to report that you said that about the princess? Because I damn sure that I can." Arthur just chuckled darkly and rolled his eyes, "Oh please, like she'll believe you over me. You may be her friend, but I'm her boyfriend. She's most likely going to believe me, over you." Andric let out a low growl, throwing the prince onto the ground and unsheathing his blade, holding the tip to his neck, "I swear by the gods above so help me I'll-" He was cut off by another blade, only this one was held to his own neck.
He glanced down to his side to see a very angry Alexa, her eyes a bright purple and piercing through him. Arthur pretended to be nervous by her sudden appearance, and keeping a grin from crossing his face. Her voice was low when she spoke, a mixture of irritation and anger, just as Andric's was before. "Drop. Your. Weapon..." Andric hesitated, staring at her eyes for a moment, until he let go of his sword and letting it clang against the hard tile floor. She sheathed her blade, giving her guard a long stern glare before turning to Arthur and helping him to his feet. "Are you okay hun?" He nodded, letting out a long sigh and looking over at him with an expression filled with rage. "Yeah I'm fine. But i don't think he is. I did absolutely nothing and all of sudden he's ready to take my head!" Her head darted in Andric's direction, the look on her face clearly telling him that he was in big trouble. "Why the hell would you do that?!" He didn't answer for a moment, his head lowered in shame until he caught sight of the prince's smug grin, narrowing his eyes at the prince before speaking in a low tone, "He provoked me your highness...He was speaking ill of you and Caroline, so...That was my immediate reflex..." She sighed, looking up at Arthur with a brow raised, "Did you provoke him Arthur...?" He held up his hands in defense and shook his head. "I'm telling the truth! I didn't do anything to him." Andric growled, holding himself back for grabbingnhis blade off of the ground and ending him right there, "He's lying to you your highness! Caroline told me what happened between the two of them and I don't think he's right for you! He-" "Now that is enough!" Alexa cut him off, shouting at him and her eyes turning a brighter purple. "What she told you was a lie too! By gods, first Caroline, and now you! Both of you have made false accusations against him and I want it to stop!" Andric's expression fell, upset that his friend didn't believe him, "But-" "That's an order Andric..." She said as she gave him his blade back, and walking away with Arthur.
He sighed and sheathed his blade, turning the other way to walk away, until he looked over his shoulder and called out to the princess, "Um, your majesty....?" She stopped alongside Arthur, glancing over her shoulder to look at him, "Yes...?" He finally turned all the way around to give his princess his full attention. "If I may ask the question, what is your natural eye color?" She glanced over to Arthur with a brow raised, him doing the same and giving a small shrug, only for his expression to change to a stern one once she brought her attention back to Andric, "...Amethyst purple..." And without another word, Andric disappeared around the corner. The couple looked at each other with confused expressions on their faces, but soon shrugged it off and took a hold of each other's hand and continued their way down the hall, Arthur looking back with an annoyed expression on his face.
Andric made his way down the halls with a determined look on his face, passing by different rooms eather quickly as he made his way towards the ballroom. He opened the double and walked in, going in the direction of the queen. At the time Cassandra was helping her servants put certain things up in specific places, until she heard Andric clear his throat behind her, turning towards him with a smile. "Oh hello Andi, what brings you here?" He let a light sigh, gaining a concerned look from the queen, "Is everything alright dear?" He then took a hold of her hand, determined expression not faltering at all, "Your majesty, we need to talk..."
What is a polite way to say 'I'm glad you actually caught something this year on the holiday hunt but please stop snapping me pictures of a dead deer because it's cramping my holiday style?'
