When:Â January 19, 2017
Where:Â The Link Parking, Makati City
This is my second time attending an art exhibit and DAMN! I’m loving it. I love everything I see. I want to touch it so badly and feel every details but it is prohibited. I want to know who create those mouth watering master piece, how they did an amazing art, why they create such a beautiful and heartwarming masterpiece, what’s behind that masterpiece and where they got their inspiration. Every artist on that exhibit showed their own uniqueness and talent they’ve got, from sculptor, imagination, painting and drawings. They deserved being featured in the exhibit.
One artist caught my interest the most, her name is Yeo, Ka A. I even stalked her now in instagram, I mean I followed her (hahahahaha). Here’s her account @yeokaa. Go check her artwork guys :). Hmmm maybe you’ll be asking how did Yeokaa caught my interest? First she’s beautiful, I saw her in person OMG. Oh boy, Second is she’s also catchy because of her neon hair color and it suit her. She almost look like a Japanese and I think she is because of her name? Lastly, when I saw her art I saw my old-self, it seems like it’s a reflection of my past self. How I hid my pain, sadness, disappointment, anxiety and depression behind my smile and noisy laugh. How my eyes screamed for help. How I felt alone and lost at some point in my life. How depression almost ate me alive. It was nostalgic. Upon looking at her paintings, I realized that I’ve changed a lot, I’m a working progress and I became more realistic, strong and independent woman. I’m no longer that coward girl I used to be. To be honest, I’m grateful I met this still special guy, because if it’s not him I wouldn’t strived to become a better person. He helped me. So back to her masterpiece, I badly want to buy her mini sculpture but I don’t know where. I want it because this will remind me that everyone of us will/has experience their own end point in life and that I’m not alone.
All in all, I enjoyed it, though I almost had a social anxiety attack because the place is so crowded. I really can’t contain overly crowded place but I’m working on it.
I’m looking forward for more art fairs and Museums to visit. I’m also a wannabe artist that’s why I’m into arts.
