Saleen S1: Where is it?? 🤔 ______________________________________ [5/25/19] Back in 2017, Saleen came out of a long hiatus from their S7 supercar by unveiling the their new S1 sports car! Looking a bit like a 911 at the rear and identical to a Aretga GT of which it started its life as. Though it’s set to have a starting price of around $100k, the powertrain is definitely unique for the price point but the looks justify it all! 🔥 @Allcarnews Spec Sheet: The S1 is powered by an in house built and designed 2.5L mid mounted inline four making a hefty 450HP and 350 lb-ft of torque.. but it weighs just 2,685lbs! Even better a 6 speed manual will be standard while a quick shifting paddle auto gearbox is optional. It can do 0-60 in 3.5sec, a 180MPH top speed and a 1/4mile time around or under 11sec🔥 How is the S1 so light? Well that would be thanks to an all aluminum shell on a carbon tub! Unlike the power focused S7, the S1 is all about handling, light weight and agility! Some other highlights from Saleen are the wishbone suspension, massive 20in wheels with 335 Continental rubber at the rear, and 15In brakes. The S1 was supposed to be on sale by Summer 2018 but here we are in Summer 2019 and... it’s not on sale! Saleen has said that production would start in the US then move to china where a new line of Saleen products could potentially be made.
