Salai and Leonardo were also fucking
Given there’s a Leonardo sketch of Salai with a hard-on and another one entitled “Salai’s anus”... ;)
Megatron out here hoarding all the pointy teeth. I vote we make him share the pointy and give more robots canine dentas.
#GIVEROBOTSCANINES2020
Listen... teeth are oddly fun to draw esp with pointies. It's fantastic for aiding expression for characters and also affect our impressions of characters themselves in a design sense. Do robots need it? Absolutely not. But that won't stop me cause I don't care.
Alright @wildfirewish here goes round 2!
Look at this funky little cryptid!! Even though I wish we coulda seen more for Soundwave he's hard not to like IMO from appearance alone... But then again I also have a major soft spot for creepy cryptid looking motherheckers sooo....
Also TfP Spoiler warning!
Soundwave from TfP
Would peeps be interested in drawing guides for weirdly specific TfP character details tossed here now and then? I find deconstructing shit like that ODDLY fun and would be doing it anyways. Only difference would be I need to tidy it up so it's understandable to more than just me.
Examples being like:
Starscream's cheek vents in multiple angles.
Knockout's cat-ear looking spikes at different angles.
The back of character's heads
Breakdown of shapes beneath and in the armor and how it would look in other poses (like how Starscream's foot slots into his leg armor, or breaking up Optimus's shoulder plates and how they fit together)
Anything else I, or y'all want. Feel free to reply or send in an ask. Or you can use the submission box if you need visuals to explain something really specific you'd like quick reffed. ^w^

As someone who mostly draws tfa and G1 I'm unsurprisingly gonna say I used to struggle a bit with tfp, but honestly as I've gotten better as an artist it's gotten way easier to understand the overlapping armor and endoskeletal structure and I love the refs in the official art book-
Predaking is still a bish to draw though.
This is a super late reply so I apologize BUT you're so valid. It's been really interesting to me the range of which shows are the hardest to draw. But you're not alone in finding TfP hard at first. I'm glad though that it's become easier to draw!!Understanding how they interconnected really helped me too. It also helped when I noticed that a lot of the bots have some stylized nods to human musculature and/or bone structure in their features.
And don't get me started on the concept art book!! GORGEOUS! Could stare at the work in it for hours!!
OH and I feel the same way about Predaking being a bish to draw. I mostly drew dragons and monsters before hopping on the TF train but even so I struggle to draw him and remember his details or how they all fit together. Ngl I personally find his design leaning a little too close to being over complicated and hard to read. I have a half written essay about it in response to an ask hidden in my drafts about the Predacons in which a part of it talks about Predaking being a bit much. But TLDR you're valid for struggling with Predaking. He's very pretty but I struggle so much with him too believe me
