Hey! I totally get how you feel. It can really suck sometimes that you don’t, but I’d just try to remember that love isn’t the be-all and end-all. There are other types of love that are just as important! I’d see if you could find another aro person to talk to, as I’ve found that it really helps when there’s someone that can relate to what you’re going through. Maybe look through the positivity tag? Hey! So this can be a kinda uncomfortable situation. If your friend know that you’re aromantic, you could just sit down with them and tell them “hey, I’m happy for you and all, but I’d appreciate it if you could tone it down just a bit because it makes me uncomfortable” (not those exact words, but you get what I mean xD). I would really just try to tell them in a gentle way how you feel, and see if that helps. If you’re sad about the romance, I’d just remember that romantic love and stuff isn’t all there is. For instance, I know a couple people in a QPR that act so much like a romantic couple that they get mistaken for one all the time! You can still have the sugar sweet grossness without all the romance, if that makes sense.

Hey! So congrats on finding out that you’re cupioromantic! I found that one thing that really helped me was talking to other arospec people and learning that I wasn’t alone in this, that other people went through the same thing I did and it turned out fine for them. You can join the penpal project if you want to talk to some other arospec people, or you can just message us here! It might also help to look through the positivity tag. Overall, I would just try to remember that you’re not broken or a freak, and that there are other people like you who went through the same thing.
