I actually haven't written much of either of these yet but "alex wants a hug from his mom" has been on my mind more lately so maybe I'll get around to it soon? we'll see

that one is (obviously) about Alex and his parents; it's just like, a moment of Alex Thinking about some stuff right after the "we never should have met" scene with Willie in Edge of Great. He has this moment of instinctively wanting to go to his parents for advice even though he hasn't really been able to do that even since before he came out to them; his parents haven't been people that he cries to since he was a kid, but he still wants it so badly

and it kinda slides into just thinking about his parents in general and there's this whole dynamic where like after he came out, his dad was more outwardly shitty after he came out but his mom got super overbearing and was also still very homophobic but in an "it's because I love you so much" kind of way. So it's this thing where Alex's dad got aggressive and distant on him, but he's the one who pushed his mom away. And he had to! He did it because she was hurting him and he doesn't think he was wrong but it still makes everything complicated

ANYWAY. No idea if I'm explaining that very well but it's good in my head and I think one day it'll be good on paper too

"lalexie my beloved" is an absolute mess of a luke/alex/willie fic that doesn't have much plot and honestly probably could be a series of tiny oneshots? but I like it better as one thing because it all belongs together and there's like, development that Matters

I don’t know how to explain it very well bc it’s a little all over the place but basically all my rambling in this post was pulled from my notes on that fic so hopefully those thoughts make their way into a more coherent thing at some point
