LGBT+ Question Tag
Rules: Answer the questions in a new post and tag who you’d like to get to know better. I was tagged by @aroacedrago Nickname: Don't really have one, I go by my last name sometimes though Pronouns: She/her or they/them Star Sign: Virgo, don't really believe in star signs meaning evening, but it's fun to look at the posts about them Height: 5.8 Time Right now: 8.02pm Last Thing I googled: rhyming dictionary Favourite Music Artist: My Chemical Romance Song stuck in your head: Strange Love by Halsey Last Movie you watched: Deadpool (which was fucking amazing) What are you wearing right now: Pj pants and a super comfy black hoodie When did you create your blog: ummm..........a few months ago maybe? I honestly can't remember right now it might have been longer What kind of stuff do you post: On this blog, anything lgbtq+ I come across on my dash Do you have other blogs: Yup Do you get asks on a regular basis: nah, I wish I did though Why did you choose your url: No ideas really What are your gender, sexual and romantic orientations? Non-binary demigirl, ace (somewhere on the asexual spectrum but not sure where), panromantic What do you wish people would understand about you sexual and/or romantic orientation or gender identity? Mainly that asexuality is a real thing and is valid, and that it doesn't mean not wanting to have sex, it means not feeling sexual attraction, there's a BIG difference. Also I'd love for more people to be open to non binary genders, and that fact that I "look like a girl" doesn't mean I am one,. You vs the stereotype of your gender identity, sexual/romantic orientation: Ace: YES: introverted, really fucking shy. NO: repressed, confused, religious, waiting for marriage, sex repulsed, no sex drive, childlike, shy, broken, “just a phase”/ “you haven’t found the right person yet”, “playing hard to get”, internalized homophobia. Panromantic: NO: attracted to everyone, dates everyone. Non binary: NO: dyed hair and/or androgynous look, special snowflake, confused. Would you change your gender or sexual/romantic orientation(s)? If yes, what would you change? I'd like to say I would change, but it would be so much easier if I was cis and pansexual. People are just so uneducated especially on gender and I feel so invalidated, and I feel like most people either don't understand asexuality or simply don't even know it's a thing. I'd never wish to be straight though, I'm not gonna limit myself to just liking guys. What do you like most about your gender or sexual/romantic orientation? I'm not limited with who I can date, the lgbt puns oh my god I can't even use the word straight anymore without making a joke. How did you discover your gender identity and/or sexual/romantic orientation(s)? Basically through tumblr. I know the phrase 'you just found this on tumblr', is used to invalidate people, but really, it's not like I would have learnt anything through my catholic school. I'm so grateful for all the info available that helped me figure out who I am. What are the things in your past that makes sense now? My aversion to describing people as 'hot' or 'sexy', and instead using words like gorgeous and thinking people are nice to look at, or would be good to date. Helllooooo ace spectrum hahah. Also the whole 'I'm straight but like...I'm completely fine if I end up with up a girl or whatever, gender doesn't bother me' mindset, bro I was never straight I just didn't realise. What types of attraction (aesthetic, sexual, sensual, alterous, romantic, platonic) have you experienced? All but sexual. Do you know what a quasiplatonic relationship is and would you like to have one? I know what one is, personally I'd much rather prefer a romantic relationship. Are you keeping a straight face (poker for aces) or did you come out to anyone? Basically everyone but my parents and extended family know I'm 'not straight and not gay'. People think I just don't use labels, but in reality I'm just to afraid of judgment and confusion and always having to explain myself if I told people the labels I like. And one person knows about my gender identity, I highly doubt I'll ever tell more than a couple people, not any time soon anyways. Favourite sexual/romantic orientation or gender identity joke? Bro there are so many I could never pick one. I usually just go for the 'unlike me' anytime someone says something is straight. LGBT+ characters headcanons: Spencer Reid ace. Malia Hale pan.
