I miss Armin’s long hair

i just wanna say, as an armenian, i don’t want the armenian genocide and the kardashians’ to be the only things armenia is known for. the genocide needs more attention and yes kim kardashian has raised a lot of awareness for what’s going on, but armenia is more than its trauma and the kardashians aren’t very good people. i’m thankful for what kim has done for armenia, but she’s been and still pretty much is racist towards other races (*cough* *cough* anti-black racist). and how could i, a descendant of the people who had to run from their oppressors to save their lives, fully support someone who is disrespectful towards other cultures and races who were and still are oppressed to this day? this is why people say that “poc solidarity” is a myth. of course, you can support kim for what she’s done for us and i encourage other celebs, armenian and non-armenian, to do the same, but we’re more than the whitewashed, racist version of armenians. celebrities like armine (the first armenian gucci model), sirusho (an armenian singer who supports the lgbtq+ community), charles aznavour (a legend), armen ohanian (a genderqueer armenian dancer) and more deserve recognition too. and STOP giving all your support to racists, homophobes, transphobes, etc, JUST because they’re armenian/support armenia. it doesn’t help.
