Today, on Ukraine’s Armed Forces Day, we pay tribute to those who decided to defend their country. To every father guarding Ukraine’s skies against Russian missiles and drones, every sister advancing on enemy positions, every son standing in the trenches to protect their loved ones. To everyone who ensures that Ukraine remains an independent and free country today – and will continue to be so.

We must strive to be worthy of our heroes, who, without exaggeration, give their all on the frontline to ensure our peace. Where Ukrainian soldiers are fully equipped and supported, our collective safety is secured, and the enemy is pushed back. It is vital that Ukraine’s partners make every effort to stand united for our shared goal.

Glory to all who defend Ukraine’s sovereignty and freedom! 🇺🇦

Once again today I salute and thank the men and women of the Armed Forces for their skill, bravery and loyalty to this country.
