Finally got on PS4 Aras to update my flags only to find almost half my Crystal Isles base had decayed somehow. Unfortunately, all the ceilings that had been holding my cryofridges were part of the decay, so I lost nearly all my tames. I still have several on Fjordur, and there are a few fridges in my breeding shed that survived (they were on foundations), but that's it.
The biggest casualty is all my fault, too. Several cables had also decayed so none of the cryofridges were powered, and I went and opened one just to see if the pods had any charge left. And for some reason that I'm still kicking myself over, I chose the fridge that contained all my breeders, so soon as I opened it they all died.
I got my generator going again and got the remaining fridges charging, so everything else survived. So I still have my boss armies, a few babies I hadn't raised yet, and some other random tames. I can recover a few of my breeding lines, at least.
There's at least 3 other people that this has happened to, and it seems to be wood structures doing it mostly, so I'm going to rebuild my base out of stone or maybe even metal. Eventually. For now I scavenged some walls from the main house to patch up the breeding shed and moved everything into there. It'll work for now while I decide what I want to do.
The good news is I still have Zee and a baby female lightning, so I can breed them at least. And I had the entire shadowmane pack with me on Fjordur as well as 2 pairs of gigas, so my main fighters are okay. Pinfeather is the only argy I have left, and I have one bat. I do still have gatherers, too, which will be good for when I do start to rebuild.
And I have Cooper's dermis, still reigning over the base from the roof. So I have something to remember him, at least.
