New Story - The Precious Seed
âLEAVE HER BE!â Argonas shouted in a fury!
The mawsworn mage turned her hollow gaze to the Vindicator, and let out a ghastly scoff. The siphoning continued, unhindered.
âKill this one.â she spoke, though not to Argonas. âHe must not interfere with this harvest.â
The Draenei moved in-- but was halted as a maw portal opened between him and his target. The rift was large⊠very large. Argonas stepped back, surveying it quickly for a way to get around it. But before he managed to find one, a massive fiery behemoth stepped out. It bellowed as it materialized fully in place of the portal, standing between the Vindicator and the mage who summoned it. It was a mass of metal plate and embers, filling the grove with a thick black smoke. Fiery eyes set on Argonas, as the monstrosity took a thunderous step forward!
But Argonas was undeterred! Heâd fought hard to save Sinafayâs soul from the Maw. Waited patiently as her body gestated in the pod. Even brought in offerings of anima to expedite the process-- often through liberating it from the Mawsworn or their allies! He wouldnât be stopped now, not so close to finally and fully restoring his beloved wife! He snarled, before roaring back at the brute, and charging in!
Argonas fights to protect that which is most precious to him when the Mawsworn invade Ardenweald. Driving out the Jailerâs forces is, of course, important-- but nothing is more important to Argonas than saving Sinafay!Â

Are We Dead Yet - Pt III: A Way Out
[[ Co-written with @kidcatgeminiâ & @sylaessâ ]]
Avehi led the trio to a small cave. The term was a generous one; it was a hole in the cliff facing, hardly noticeable from the outside. Avehi only found it thanks to a subtle rune placed over the entrance. Not by her hand, but that of a friend. She peered inside, and once it was determined to be safe, only then did the Draenei lower her guard.
Argonas brought up the rear; his hulking mortal form only barely able to slip inside the cave-- and not without a bit of scraping. Still, he managed inside without drawing too much attention to himself or the cave overall. He loitered by the entrance, not keen on delving too deep in the cloistered space. Keeping watch was as good an excuse as any. He exhaled slow, even breaths to suppress his phobia. Few things gave him anxiety like rightly enclosed spaces. But he set that aside, out of necessity.Â
For Sinafay.
The Stormâs Wake, pt. V
Gattius dropped his blade to the ground, after cutting down the last of the Kvaldir. He was exhausted. Red hair clung to his face and neck, but he lacked the energy to wipe it clear. He collapsed to his knees, and gasped for air. With the Kvaldir all gone, the choking mist had begun to dissipate. It felt good to breathe easy once more. After a moment, he cleared his throat, and began looking around. The beach was littered with piles of seaweed â remains of the Kvaldir, dropped in lieu of corpses. The Blood Knightâs eyes narrowed searchingly.
âWhereâd that Draenei go?â he wondered.
The battle was intense, almost ending before it started. The Draenei had lunged for him, and Gattius was sure heâd chosen to roll the dice with the Kvaldir. But thankfully, at the last second, the Draenei redirected his sword swing, and severed the chain which held Gattius bound. He took it as a sign of agreement to his offer, and struck against the Draeneiâs chains as well. After that, it was a blood bath. Gattius was glad to be behind the Draeneiâs warpath, and not in front of it. He fought with such anger, such rage, and yet such a degree of control and deliberation. It was quite a sight - Gattius wondered how he managed to stay alive in just the few short minutes he had to face the blue behemoth down. But now, as the battle subsided, his unlikely ally was nowhere in sight. He took a second to recover his breath, before calling out.
âDraenei! Where are you?â
Are We Dead Yet? Pt. I - Piercing the Veil
[[ Co-written with @sylaessâ & @kidcatgeminiâ ]]
~*~
The summons came for all of them.Â
Every single Knight of Acherus could hear that call, knew that call. It wasnât one you fucked around with.Â
They stood in ranks, watching the portal open. Waiting. Somehow, they were going to help. The icy winds atop Icecrown snatched at cloaks and fur-trimmed armor alike. Stole the wispy breath of the living and tossed it to the glacier beyond. A very solemn time.
A very anxious time.
They filed through. Rank by rank.
It took forever, in Sylaessâs humble opinion. All for a bloody portal. To the deadlands. Shadowlands. Syl hated portals. They always fucked her up. She cut a glance to see if she could spot Avehi one more time. Had tried to get into formation with her, but who knew if they were still near each other? There had been so much shuffling about.Â
The rank before her moved up. Started popping through, one by one. So the rumors were true, then. Bolvar had had his ass handed to him by Sylvannas. And then she messed everything up. Again. Sylaess was careful to keep herself still, steady, and cool. At least outwardly. It was tiresome. But she did an excellent job of that mask.
Sigh.
Syl stepped forward unthinkingly. Just muscle memory in the line, headed into the portal. The less she thought of the insanity she was about to partake in, the easier it got.
That was a bold-faced lie, but she was grasping every thin thread to keep herself from launching off the side of Icecrown instead of into the afterlife. Both options sucked, to be fair.Â
Took a breath, hands on her swords hilts like they were a lifeline. Stepped through the blue-black mass of magic that would lead her to the exact place sheâd been avoiding all these damned years. Literally.Â
Tried not to scream.

Heart thingy for Argo and Mierne.
VISUAL ATTRACTIVENESS: đđđ âWell... speaking in strict confidence... I do find her unkempt appearance rather... vexing. It is alluring and not, all at once. difficult to describe. Her age is noticeable as well. But she is rather fit and able-bodied. A graceful aged look, beneath all the mud and grime.â
FRIENDSHIP LEVEL: đđđđ âOur friendship has been damaged, due to my actions. Not irreversibly so, thankfully; she is forgiving, and understanding. I feel we are close friends and confidants.â
SEXUAL DESIRE: đđđđ â--Wh-what? She is the High Vindicatorâs betrothed! I... I would not even consider such a notion! ... ... ...however, if such werenât the case, I would certainly pursue such intimacies. And I have in the past, before knowing of the aforementioned betrothal. She is wildly enticing in an inexplicable manner. I have no regrets about our past encounters-- except the false pretenses, of course! Which, I would state were not my fault!â
ROMANTIC INTENT: đ â--Again, she is betrothed to the High Vindicator! Even if not, I do not imagine we uphold similar enough values, or share comparable life experiences to be very romantically compatible. Mierne is a suitable friend, but... thus marks the extent of the potential between us.â
đ - Maybe one for each character? Or whichever muse strikes your fancy right now! :D
I heard âone for eachâ, and I will oblige!
Argonas never trusted Orcs. Not even at the beginning. He only speaks orcish for this reason - heâs a paranoid individual! He started studying it on Draenor, fearful that the Orcs would turn on his people during swap meets and such heâd attend. He though heâd never EVER admit it aloud, he secretly feels somewhat... vindicated... that he was right all along!
Avehi can sleep, but since she doesnât need to, she chooses not to. Not only is she plagued with nightmares if she tries, but sheâs so used to not knowing - or caring - what time of day it is thanks to her spending most of her life on Draenor in Shadowmoon Valley. She loves the night sky anyway, so not needing to sleep is an absolute win for her!
Beyâron does have a soft side, contrary to popular belief! But itâs really hard to prove it! Case in point, he anonymously sponsors both a homeless shelter and an orphanage in Eversong. Both were set up separately following the destruction of the Sunwell, and provide food, beds, and safety for anyone who needs it. No tangible connection exists between him and these two establishments, of course. But he feels itâs imperative for elves in need to have some manner of jumping-off-point to get back up when life knocks them down.
Brent window-shops for blades very often. He loves examining unique and artistic bladecraft, and can sometimes - rarely - be seen at bazaars or swap meets examining various knives and swords. That being said, heâs never bought one. Where he got the blades he uses now is a mystery for another prompt... :P
Dahlyah was eaten by a dragon once! Well, not really, but she likes to tell people that! The truth is she was on a hunt once for black drakes back during the Blackrock conflict, and one swooped down and chomped down on her! Her dark iron chainmail kept the dragonâs razor-sharp teeth from cutting through all the way, but she still has the bite marks on her abdomen and torso from the incident! She managed to fire off a few shrapnel rounds down its neck to shred its innards and escape certain death. And the ensemble she wears now is made with scales from that very drake!
Gattius is a sucker for Eversong Scout cookies! He canât pass up an opportunity to buy a box or two every time theyâre out selling them! He has such a hard time saying no to those sweet, smiling faces! Itâs only gotten worse since becoming a father, too! Right now, he has one entire supply closet in his office full of unopened boxes of cookies heâs bought over the past few months! Itâs labeled âNeedles and Syringesâ to keep Syrielle from looking inside and finding them! Donât tell her!
Grakkar pees sitting/squatting down. Donât judge.
Tyrellius found the hardest thing about becoming a Demon Hunter to be the horns! Heâs adapted well enough to âseeingâ differently. And heâs even comfortable with his body changing and shifting during various metamorphoses. But those pesky horns... heâll forget he has them more often than not when reaching up to scratch his head or adjust his mask. They seem to surprise him every time he brushes a hand against them... or brushes THEM against something else! Still, he canât bring himself to file them down or try and reshape them. When he remembers theyâre there, he definitely likes them!
Thanks for the prompt, @nocturnedreaming! ^^ @syrielle for mention!
2. What was the first moment that they knew they were in love with their LI? (For Argo and Gattius)
For Argonas, that moment actually hit when he was with another woman! Seriously! He had been dating the AU version of his then-friend Sinafay, and things were going well. But... something was missing, and he couldnât quite pin it down. It wasnât until a bit of a mixup and a good conversation afterwards that Argonas realized what was missing. For as similar as they were, he felt much closer to the Sinafay heâd come to know from his timeline!
Gattius first realized he loved Syrielle - like, really loved her, more than just as a close friend - on Argus! They were doing something they shouldnât have been, which wasnât rare for them back then... when it hit him right in the middle of the battlefield. He saw a future with her, beyond just fooling around and having fun. And incidentally, their first child Tannis was conceived shortly after!
Thanks for the asks @kidcatgemini! @sinafay1 / @sinafay-the-defiant / @syrielle for mentions!
