a trip to the coffee shop became to be part of her daily routine-- it was a way for her to relieve her mind of stress and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, and it was an excellent place to work on art. however, today’s trip to the usual proved that she should of left earlier. the line was very long and, as she maneuvers her way with a medium sized canvas, the task proved to be much more difficult, and filled with many apologies.
some time later, she finally makes it out of the line, a large mug of piping hot chocolate gently held in one hand, the canvas in the other, she wanders around the shop in search of a place to sit. as it turned out, the traffic didn’t lessen up in the slightest, and seating by herself was impossible, and there were barely any seats open in general.
as she pokes her head around to the back room, she sees an open seat across from a lone man. she’s nervous at first { what if he wanted to be alone? } but, eventually, her feet lead her to him, a soft smile a way of greeting him.
‘I hope I’m not interrupting, but is it alright if I sit here? i didn’t expect it to get quite so busy in here today.’
