I ask you to listen to this from the perspective that Cody Carson is an unexamined egg, who has possibly been taken advantage of in many interpersonal relationships in ways I highly identify with as someone of the transfeminine experience. I also posit that Cody might be plural, but as I am singular I will not speculate further. I also think it's worth mentioning that the last four songs on the playlist are from the newest album, and that album is self-published. The fact that Worst Case Scenarios is the closing track on a self-published album and Cody is the only original band member/songwriter left in the group is..... interesting to me. I can explain my reasoning for the songs I've included here further if asked; They are not simply my favorites from each album, or the ones i necessarily identify the most heavily with, but I believe they paint a certain picture when understood as a whole.

I've always found the way Set It Off writes songs about being hurt in interpersonal/romantic relationships to be of a different tone than other bands working in the same genre, and I believe that Cody Carson possibly being transfeminine could go a long way to explain why I've felt that.
