For uOttawa, I'm a Masters student. We have a Liberal presence, and it depends on the program but there is some diversity on the campus (still find myself the only woc in the room pretty often though) A few months ago someone put Islamophobic posters on the wall and a classmate had someone make a racist comment to her a year ago. So mostly progressive, but a darker underside as well.

I went down to see him when I realised he hadn’t asked me to have dinner, and it was quite obvious as soon as I looked at him that he’s ill. I wish he would have told me, but at least I know now. His fever broke a little while ago, though, which is very good. He ate some soup and drank water and tea, as well.
I'm usually not an angry person, but my blood is boiling. I know I did my part and voted NDP, but I don't know how anyone could vote for someone as incompetent as Doug Ford. I thought after Trump in America, we'd have become smarter. It hurts all the more since we could have actually had an NDP government that could have done actual good. This is a day where I hate the privilege white men can have.

thank you! it took me a while because I had to set up an account with each employer’s applicant tracking system (i’m applying for jobs with the two big hospital systems that exist here in town), but it feels good to have a resume in order and finally be sending things out. plus now when new positions open up in the future i literally just have to hit ‘apply’ instead of filling out everything from scratch

It's a netflix show that's based on an earlier early 2000s show called "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy" where five gay men called the "Fab Five" made over straight men. This new version of the show is just called "Queer Eye" and the new Fab Five each has an area of specialization-for example, Jonathan is in charge of grooming, Antoni of food and wine (he teaches people how to cook on the show), Bobby renovates the houses, Tan teaches people how to dress, and Karamo...
specializes in culture, which basically means he has in depth conversations about people's lives with them. They spend a week at someone who's been nominated and they re-make that person, but they differ from other make over shows because their goal isn't to change who the person is or to focus on the outside, it's basically just to improve their lives. It's become popular because it challenges toxic masculinity, and the Fab Five are really compelling, likeable people.

I should also say make over the person not re-make them, that sounds like the person is a robot
